The Celebrity Film Awards® announced today the official Winners List of the 1st Annual Celebrity Film Awards® . The show was broadcast live on Saturday, March 5, 10am (pt) |1pm (et), on the official CFA Youtube Channel.
The Celebrity Film Awards reward film industry honoring all the best films and stars of the season. The jury is run by industry professionals, including members of the Hollywood Critics Association, Critics Choice Awards, Chicago Indie Critics, Seattle Film Critics Society, Online Film Critics Society, Online Film and Television Association, and film critics of specialized magazines including Rotten Tomatoes, Letterboxd, Moviefone, The Hollywood Times and many others.
The 2022 CFA kicked off in style, with a long tracking shot featuring presenter and founder Walter Nicoletti. And while many of the night’s victors were expected—director Denis Villeneuve and his best-picture, best director, best cinematography and best editing, – winning Dune, mainly – the evening had a few surprises in store as well. Best actress, a category with the potential to swing in any number of directions, wound up going to Kristen Stewart. Even more surprisingly, best actor to Will Smith. Olga Mereditz won best supporting actress, Bradley Cooper won best supporting actor for Licorice Pizza, while Luca, directed by Enrico Casarosa, won best animation. Drive My Car won best foreign language film. Finally two honorary awards has announced: best revelation actor to Troy Kotsur for CODA and Life Time Achievement Award is assigned to Francis Ford Coppola for his italian origin (he descends from Italian immigrants originally from Bernalda, in the province of Matera).
