The Celebrity Film Awards® announced today the official Winners List of the 2nd Annual Celebrity Film Awards® . The show was broadcast live on Friday, February 24, 10am (pt) |1pm (et), on the official CFA Youtube Channel.
The Celebrity Film Awards reward film industry honoring all the best films and stars of the season. The CFA jury is composed of industry professionals, including several Academy Award winners and members of the Hollywood Critics Association, Critics Choice Awards, Chicago Indie Critics, Seattle Film Critics Society, Online Film Critics Society, Online Film and Television Association. In addition to these names also accredited journalists from trade magazines including Rotten Tomatoes, Letterboxd, Moviefone, The Hollywood Times and many others.
The host of the second edition was once again the CFA founder Walter Nicoletti, Oscars qualified actor, producer and director and member of the Online Film & Television Association of the United States.
The best film of the year is Top Gun: Maverick. The film starring Tom Cruise also takes home the best editing and best cinematography awards; the best director is Steven Spielberg, who triumphs with his latest masterpiece The Fabelmans; the best actress award went to Ana De Armas for Blonde while the best actor is Brendan Fraser for The Whale. Kerry Condon won, however, as best supporting actress for The Banshees of Inisherin, while Ke Hui Quan as best supporting actor for Everything Everywhere All at Once. Pinocchio, directed by Guillermo Del Toro, triumphs as best animated film. RRR wins the award for best foreign language film, while the best documentary is Fire of Love. Finally, two lifetime achievement awards were given: best producer to Stephen Castor (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home) and best special effects supervisor to Jim Rygiel, winner of three Academy Awards for the Lord of the Rings saga and a member of the Celebrity Film Awards.
