Peggy has been watching movies since the days of Siskel & Ebert whom she watched religiously every Sunday as a teen, with her mom in the background asking “Why are you watching these two guys talk about movies on a Sunday afternoon”. Growing up in the Netherlands, then Huntington Beach, CA – where she learned to swim and surf, she has been living in Los Angeles for the bulk of adulthood. After working at Princess Cruises traveling the world for 5 years, settled down and started as a Talent Agent Asst. at APA in the late 90’s. From there she was moved onto Jr. Agent, and then moving into Talent Management for almost 12 ears. While always giving movie ‘reviews’ to her friends, she then started Peggy at the Movies and officially stepped into the role of Film Critic in 2014. After working for a few now-defunct sites, in 2018 she became Cherry Picks approved, as well as a member of The OAFFC (Online Assoc. of Female Film Critics), and most recently, a member of the prestigious Hollywood Critics Association (HCA), and the International Press Academy (IPA), as a voting member of the both the @HCA & @SatelliteAwards. If not watching movies, you can find her at the beach reading a good book, or watching soccer, tennis or F1 – while enjoying a beer and some tacos at the local pub.
